Dalby PCYC

The Dalby PCYC was opened in 1989. Since then the club has grown with the community and currently has a membership in excess of 1600. The club has expanded over recent years with the building consisting of a main hall (basketball/volleyball courts), large gymnastics room, Peter Pan Kindy room, fully equipped gymnasium and cardio rooms.

We currently attract members from a wide regional base with people travelling from townships such as Bell, Jandowae, Cecil Plains and Chinchilla to utilise the facilities. Attendances at the club average over 4700 per month, and have grown steadily since the introduction of the gymnasium in 2003.

The main aims of the Dalby PCYC are:

* to afford the young people of Dalby an opportunity to participate in clean, healthy recreation, and
* to improve the standard of physical fitness for the whole community.

To achieve these goals the club runs a variety of recreational, sporting and cultural activities and programs designed to benefit youth and also the community at large. Dalby PCYC co-ordinates over 15 activities and programs, with participants starting as young as one year old for ‘Kindygym' through to retired persons utilizing the gymnasium or indoor bowls to maintain an active lifestyle.

School groups are also regular users of the facilities at the club along with disability service groups who also enjoy the wide range of recreational activities. The club has recently introduced a ‘Youth Choir', which has proven to be a popular activity at the Dalby PCYC.
